Character & Mental Toughness- Poetry

Today is World Poetry Day.  I know, when you think of poetry, toughness isn’t the first thing to pop into your head.  When you think of character and poetry, you likely think about a real or fictitious person who plays a role in the poem.  All I can tell you is that I have found some poems to be incredibly insightful and inspiring in my quest to improve my character & mental toughness, and help others to do the same.  On the right of this page is a section with links to some of my favorite poems.  For World Poetry Day might I suggest you click on one or two and possibly share it with someone?  Might I also ask that if you have a poem you find inspiring you send it my way?

Some of our most inspirational sayings are lines from poems.

Wonder why we always think of poetry in terms of mushy, flowery romance poems? Hip hop is nothing but poetry — nothing flowery about that.

    Thanks for sharing.
